Our Mental Health and Wellbeing Training For Managers is aimed at any manager who needs to be aware, recognise, and understand mental health issues in the workplace and in life. By learning triggers, early signs, and symptoms, attendees will gain positive wellbeing management skills and techniques to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health at work and support their staff and team members. This training can be delivered face to face, or as live and interactive online training.

During this 1-day course, James and Priscilla share their professional insights and personal experiences to help raise awareness about mental health in today’s working environments, as well as an understanding of mental health and wellbeing issues within your own workforce.

How to create a safe and open environment for staff to talk
Learning the skills to respond effectively to any employee who is seeking help and encourage others

Suicide awareness and prevention
How to support someone who feels suicidal. Guidance on what to and what not to do in a delicate situation

Effective wellbeing strategies
Learn the key strategies that will help you and your staff have positive mental wellbeing every day

Learning about workplace mindfulness and its benefits
A 10-min mindfulness exercise to understand the benefits mindfulness can make in your daily life

How to promote good mental health in your team
Learn how a mental health champion, staff training, and phone counselling can all help promote good mental health in the workplace

On completion of the course, each attendee will be given a personalised Mental Health Training For Managers certificate which can be used for compliance and audit.

Why is mental health and wellbeing training for managers important?

With no physical signs of distress, pain, or suffering, poor mental health can be classed as an ‘invisible’ illness. As a result, it’s common for both the symptoms and the effects of mental health to go undetected. But ignoring the realities of poor mental health in the workplace can be costly.

Positive mental health training helps managers recognise the importance of these ‘invisible’ issues, as well as recognising early signs and symptoms in themselves and their staff. Together, managers will have the resilience to deal with any larger mental health crisis and have the confidence to step in and speak up to prevent any long term issues.
