Conflict is a form of energy. Without it, there would be no progress, and we’d still be trying to work out whether the earth is flat or round. Instead of being threatened by it and victims in some way, we need to be able to manage it so that we come through having met our own needs at least from the situation. And if it warrants it, we need the skill to have the other party feeling good about the outcome as well.
Being able to work effectively with conflict is an essential life skill, which can be developed through training. Clearfocus have developed a range of workshops designed to develop the attitudes, beliefs and skills that will help participants to feel confident and well equipped to handle life’s conflict challenges.
Who will benefit?
This course is ideal for healthcare, education, armed forces, business, carers and support workers, local authorities, charities, transport, retail and leisure professionals wanting to train in conflict management and improve their Continued Professional Development (CPD).
Typically clients find the most useful areas to work on are:

Managing their personal response so that they remain in control and can apply logic.
Rethinking the personal beliefs which may be holding them back.
Understanding how to think, look and sound assertive.
Using strategies to deal with “difficult” people of all types. By the end of the day, participants will have a personal plan for how to deal with any current conflicts they are facing and the necessary skills and confidence to deal with them.
Adopt a mindset that is self-aware and sensitive to diverse populations of people in various settings.
Develop a reflective practice of learning.
Work towards reaching constructive outcomes through the use of collaborative processes.
Use theory to inform their understanding, and apply pragmatic approaches to resolving conflicts.
Creativity comes from a conflict of ideas
