The level of standard and performance of which a business will operate, can only expand and continue to grow through the development of your staff. One area within all industries which is consistently neglected is sales and yet, the more we sell, the further we can expand our businesses. Thus, we can only succeed if we are prepared to give our staff effective training. It is so common for those in a position of leadership to forget that it is our staff which is the driving force toward failure and success. 
Today is, of course, World Mental Health Day. It is most certainly true that there is more that can be accomplished in the future, but what positives have we learnt today in our endless mission to find help and treatments for people with Mental Health problems and how far into our search are we? 
Where We Had Started 
Expanding far back into the human history, depression was recognised as a metaphysical experience and was first diagnosed as Melancholy. The earliest recognition of Melancholia was expressed in ancient Mesopotamian texts, which was in the second millennium B.C. Our ancient ancestor’s tragic lack of understanding had accounted the individuals suffering to be a result of unworldly forces to which remained as a definition until 1621. 

World Mental Health Day 

The most absolute commonality we share as humans is the faculty of thought and emotion. Most of us, unfortunately, share the process of reaction to thoughts and emotions, often becoming collateral victims because of the relationship we have with what we are thinking and feeling. Mindfulness is a practice of which enables us to take control of our relationship with thoughts and emotions. This practice focuses on the nature of observation rather than judgment, whereby individuals watch their thoughts without reacting to them emotionally. 
We often react to our thoughts when they are of a negative nature, as we commonly struggle to act upon the reality of situations and instead react to what our mind believes the situation could possibly become. As a result, we carry out our days defending ourselves from catastrophic possibilities rather than seeing the situation for what it actually is. This is the faculty of stress.
